Nadezhda Pilipenko obtained her Integrated Master in Food Engineering at Kuban State Agrarian University in Krasnodar, Russia in 2009. In 2013 she finished her PhD at the same university, where she worked in the development of the technology of whey juice drinks with functional properties. She was a Postdoctoral Researcher at Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences in 2016 for 6 month doing research in vitro investigation of healthy food-derived bioactive compounds interactions with commonly prescribed drugs.

Nadezhda Pilipenko is currently working a Posdoctoral Researcher at LSRE-LCM - Instituto Politécnico de Bragança, Portugal, in the FAMEST Project.
