Olga Ferreira has graduated in Chemical Engineering in 1998, at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP) where she also obtained her Ph.D. in the area of Thermodynamic modelling of association effects in 2003. During 1999-2000, she worked at the PLAPIQUI Research Institute (Universidad Nacional del Sur), in Bahia Blanca, Argentina. In 2004, she joined the Chemical Technology Department of the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança (IPB) where she currently works as an Adjunct Professor. Her research mainly focuses on the thermodynamic modelling and experimental studies of phase equilibria of mixtures of natural products to support the development of more sustainable extraction and fractionation processes.
