Tanmoy Maity received his BSc and MSc degree in Chemistry and in Chemistry and Chemical Technology, in 2008 and 2010, respectively, from Vidyasagar University (India). In 2011 he started his Ph.D. work under supervision of Professor Subratanath Koner at Jadavpur University (India), and in 2016 he was awarded the Ph.D. degree with the thesis titled “Studies on copper based catalyst: Preparation, characterization and catalytic coupling reactions”. The main goal was to synthesize Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs) and use them in various catalytic reactions under heterogeneous condition. He has already published 18 papers in international peer review journals and from 2016 he started post-doctoral journey under supervision of Professor José A. C. Silva at the LSRE-LCM (IPB) (Project: POCI-01-0145-FEDER-016517). Currently, his work is concentrated on synthesis of suitable MOFs and utilize them for hexane isomer separation using cyclic adsorption process.
