Patrícia Costa studied Biological Engineering at the Faculty of Sciences and Technology of the University of Algarve, in Portugal, completing her Integrated Master in 2009. In 2013 she received her Ph.D. in Biological Sciences specialty Biotechnology, at the Faculty of Sciences and Technology of the University of Algarve, Portugal. Her doctoral research was focused on the potential of secondary metabolites from wild plants and in vitro cultures to treat, slow or prevent oxidative stress-related disorders. Since 2014, she is Postdoctoral researcher at LSRE-LCM at Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto, working on the design and optimisation of green fragranced products.
