Pedro Brântuas obtained his Integrated Master in Chemical Engineering at the Instituto Superior Técnico in Lisbon, Portugal in 2009. He finished his PhD at École Nationale Supérieure des Mines de Saint Etienne, France in 2013 where he worked in the capture of carbon dioxide through gas hydrates crystallization. He was a postdoctoral researcher at the Ecole des Mines de Albi between 2013 and 2014 in gas hydrates formation and flow in a microdispositive.

He started working with Professor José António Silva at the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança in 2017 on the subject of Upgrading Total Isomerization Processes with Metal-Organic Frameworks.
