Fernando Sebastião graduated in Applied Mathematics at the University of Évora, Portugal, in 1999. In the same year he started his career as an Assistant Professor in the Mathematics Department at the School of Technology and Management of the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria (IPLeiria), Portugal. In 2003 he completed the curricular part of the Master’s degree in Applied Mathematics to Biological Sciences - Specialization in Experimental Statistics, at the Higher Institute of Agronomy - Technical University of Lisbon. He obtained the Ph.D. degree in Mathematics and Statistics, area of Statistics, from the Higher Institute of Agronomy - University of Lisbon in 2016. He has been Adjunct Professor at the School of Technology and Management of IPLeiria since 2016, where he regularly teaches in the areas of Statistics and Linear Algebra among others. He is member of the LSRE-LCM since January 2018.
