Idelfonso Nogueira has integrated master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP, 2012). After working for one year in the plastics industry, in 2013, he joined the project “Modelling and control of polymerization reactors” in the Post-graduation program in industrial Engineering at Federal University of Bahia (PEI-UFBA) in collaboration with the petrochemical company Braskem.  In 2016, he obtained his master’s degree in Industrial Engineering from PEI-UFBA with the thesis “Parameter Estimation, Inference and Quality Control of an Ethylene Copolymerization Process”. In 2018, he obtained his Ph.D. degree in Chemical and Biological Engineering from FEUP with the thesis entitled “Modelling, optimization and control of TMB, SMB and SMBR. Doctoral Program in Chemical and Biological Engineering”.
