Marta Pedrosa integrated the LSRE-LCM in 2014 as a research fellow of the NEPCAT project, under the supervision of Professor Adrián Silva. She was awarded a FCT PhD grant for the development of graphene-based catalytic membranes for water treatment, in 2015. A period of 3.5 months was spent working at the National Center for Scientific Research – Demokritos (Athens, Greece) to study gas and vapor permeability of fabricated graphene oxide (GO) membranes. So far, she authored ten articles, four of them in first author and partook in seven oral presentations and seven posters, while best poster and best oral presentation awards were attained in 2016 and 2017. At the moment, she is working with Professor Adrián M.T. Silva on the development of GO membranes for catalytic water treatment.
