Manuel Luna hold his MSc in Chemical Science and Technology in 2014 from the University of Cadiz. In 2015 he obtained the aid for predoctoral contracts for the training of doctors 2014 associated to the Spanish research project “Ecosuistanable building materials for their superhydrophobic, self-cleaning, decontaminating and biocide action (MAT-2013-42934-R)”. During this period, he carried his PhD studies on the development of Au/TiO2/SiO2 photocatalysts and their application as self-cleaning and depolluting coatings for building materials at the University of Cadiz. In 2019 he completed his PhD in the Nanoscience and Material Technologies program obtaining the International Doctor Mention and the Outstanding Graduate Award. He has been involved in 5 Spanish and 1 European research projects related with the development of advanced materials for building materials. In January 2022, he started working as a postdoctoral researcher at the LSRE-LCM for two years under the Margarita Salas Grant for the training of young doctors.
