Ana M. Gorito (AMG) graduated in Environmental Engineering, with MSc and PhD diplomas in the same field obtained at the FEUP in July 2016 and May 2022, respectively. She integrated the LSRE-LCM team in November 2016, as a project researcher. In September 2017, she won a very competitive PhD grant under a call of the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) and started her PhD at the LSRE-LCM and CIIMAR. Her doctoral studies focused on the application of advanced oxidation technologies and/or nature based-solutions to remove micropollutants from aqueous matrices. As a postdoctoral researcher, she joined the CIIMAR team for 1 year, moving again to LSRE-LCM as a contracted researcher of Project ERA-ARE in April 2023. AMG has relevant skills in the fields of analytical chemistry, environmental monitoring, water treatment technologies, microbiological analyses, and toxicology.
