Albertina Rios graduated in Chemical Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP) in July 2017. She integrated the LSRE-LCM research team in September 2017, working with adsorption of dyes. In February 2018, she started her PhD in Chemical and Biological Engineering FEUP with the thesis entitled “Protein Separation and Purification by cyclic adsorption processes”, under the supervision of Professor Alexandre Ferreira and co-supervision of Professor Ana Mafalda Ribeiro and Emeritus Professor Alírio Rodrigues, which was concluded in may 2023. Currently, she is a junior researcher of the “H2O-3DCapture - Water harvesting – sustainable solution based on a gas-adsorption process using innovative 3D-printed hybrid materials” project at LSRE-LCM.
