Carina Costa PhD Thesis Defense

LSRE-LCM congratulates Carina Costa for her PhD thesis defense approved by unanimous vote by the jury.

Today Carina finished her Doctoral Program in Chemical and Biological Engineering, with the PhD thesis entitled Vanillin and syringaldehyde from side streams of pulp and paper industries and biorefineries, supervised by Prof. Alírio Rodrigues and co-supervised by Doctor Paula Pinto (now at RAIZ).

We are extremely proud of our young doctorates who have accomplished this task with hard work. We wish Carina a successful and bright life ahead.

Associate Laboratory LSRE-LCM at “Semana: Profissão Engenheiro” FEUP 2017

The LSRE-LCM researchers participated in the FEUP initiative called "Semana: Profissão Engenheiro". The 2017 edition took place between March 27th and 29th and had the participation of 1800 high school students in more than 60 activities.

The Associate Laboratory LSRE-LCM promoted several presentations and practical demonstrations of the different research areas on its laboratories.

This annual event is a unique opportunity for high school students to know the educational programmes offered by FEUP.
