Margarida Brito Appointed to the EFCE Early Career Board

Margarida Brito, researcher at LSRE-LCM/ALiCE, FEUP, has been selected to join the EFCE Early Career Board for the next two years.

In this role, she will lead the task force ChemE Navigator, dedicated to mapping Chemical Engineering Societies and Departments across Europe, fostering stronger connections and collaboration within the community.

Ana Sofia Santos Wins Processes Best PhD Thesis Award

Ana Sofia Santos, researcher at LSRE-LCM/ALiCE, was distinguished with the Best PhD Thesis Award by the journal Processes (ISSN: 2227-9717).

Her doctoral work, titled “Removal of Organic and Inorganic Pollutants from Water in Continuous Catalytic Systems,” was recognized for its scientific excellence, innovation, and impact in advancing sustainable water treatment technologies. This international award celebrates outstanding doctoral research in chemistry, materials, and process or systems engineering.
