The Portuguese Chemical Society (SPQ) has been awarded Membro Honorário da Ordem da Instrução Pública, a Portuguese honorary order for high service rendered in education and teaching. Prof. Joaquim Faria, Vice-President of SPQ since 2016, was present at the award ceremony held at the Palácio de Belém by the President of the Republic.
