Highly Cited Researchers at LSRE-LCM

February 12, 2021

Eight members of the LSRE-LCM staff are included in a list of the most cited scientists in the world released by Stanford University, assessing scientists for career-long citation impact until the end of 2019. This list contains a large database created by experts from that University and is based on data from Scopus that ranks journals and article citations up to 2019 for scientists from several research fields.

Professors José Luís Figueiredo and Alírio E. Rodrigues are the most cited researchers from the University of Porto and are ranked in the top 20 at the national level.

Other LSRE-LCM members included in the list are: José J.M. Órfão, M. Fernando R. Pereira, Eugénia A. Macedo, Adrián M.T. Silva, Vítor J.P. Vilar and Rui A.R. Boaventura. Two other LSRE-LCM members, Joaquim Luis Faria e Cláudia Gomes Silva,  feature in the single calendar year 2019 list.

These accomplishments show the high level of research and the quality of individual researchers at LSRE-LCM.

Congratulations to all!

LSRE-LCM Researchers participation in IUPAC Global Women’s Breakfast

February 11, 2021

LSRE-LCM researchers accepted IUPAC's invitation to participate in Global Women’s Breakfast: Empowering Diversity in Science, which happened at 10 am on February 9th (online).

This was an IUPAC worldwide event that involved several institutions from 24 different countries.
In Portugal, Sociedade Portuguesa de Química invited universities and companies to join the online Women's Breakfast.

Researchers, teachers and students from LSRE-LCM, LEPABE and CEFT research units from Chemical Engineering Department participated in the event.
