Hugo finished the Doctoral Program in Chemical and Biological Engineering, with the PhD thesis entitled Tannin resins from maritime pine bark as adsorbents for water treatment and recovery of substances supervised by Doctor Sílvia Santos and Professor Cidália Botelho.

Today, Paulo finished the Doctoral Program in Chemical and Biological Engineering, with the PhD thesis entitled "Separation and Recovery of Monomers in Industrial Streams by Adsorption" supervised by Professors Alexandre Ferreira Ana mafalda Ribeiro e Alírio Rodrigues.
