Ana Rita Lado Ribeiro, Researcher at the LSRE-LCM was recently appointed as Associate Editor of Chemical Engineering Journal Advances (CEJ Advances), a new online only, open access, peer reviewed journal published by Elsevier.

Chemical Engineering Journal Advances focuses upon three aspects of chemical engineering: chemical reaction engineering, environmental chemical engineering, and materials synthesis and processing.

As a partner title of the Elsevier flagship Chemical & Environmental Engineering journals (Chemical Engineering Journal, Desalination, Journal of Hazardous Materials, Journal of Membrane Science and Separation & Purification Technology), the Editors of CEJ Advances will work closely with the wider Editorial teams to provide the same high quality and timely review to authors.

Emeritus Professor Alírio E. Rodrigues was appointed as Fellow of The International Adsorption Society (IAS), by the IAS Board in accordance with the recommendations of a review committee.

Professor Alírio E. Rodrigues, together with Shamsuzzaman Farooq, Randall Q. Snurr and Orhan Talu, were appointed due to "the tremendous and significant contributions during their careers for the field of adsorption and for our international community". 

Besides the public announcement in “Adsorption” journal and receiving of a formal certificate, new fellows of IAS will be honoured at the Conference on the Fundamentals of Adsorption (FOA meeting) in Denver, 2022.
