Marta Oliveira Barbosa, researcher at LSRE-LCM/ALiCE, FEUP, has been appointed Associate Editor of the Journal of Hazardous Materials: Organics, a new spin-off of the Journal of Hazardous Materials, published by Elsevier.

This appointment represents a significant recognition of her growing impact and scientific influence in the fields of Analytical Chemistry, Organic Micropollutants, and Environmental Monitoring. As an Associate Editor, Marta will contribute to the editorial development of this new journal, dedicated to the analysis, fate, treatment, and remediation of organic contaminants in the environment, supporting the dissemination of high-quality, impactful scientific research.

Margarida Brito, researcher at LSRE-LCM/ALiCE, FEUP, has been selected to the Early-Career Editorial Board (ECEB) of the Chemical Engineering Journal.

As an ECEB member, she will contribute to the CEJ’s mission of promoting high-impact research and supporting the journal’s editorial activities. Her term on the board will last two years.
