Carlos Vega PhD Defense

LSRE-LCM congratulates Carlos Vega Aguilar for his PhD thesis defense approved by the jury.

Carlos finished the Doctoral Program in Chemical and Biological Engineering, with the PhD thesis entitled Production of C4 Dicarboxylic Acids from Lignin Oxidation supervised by Professor Alírio Rodrigues and Professor Filomena Barreiro (CIMO/IPB).

Hanane Boumeriame PhD Thesis Defense

LSRE-LCM congratulates Hanane Boumeriame for her PhD thesis defense that took place at University of Abdelmalek Essaadi(Morocco) on 13 November 2021.

Hanane finished the Doctoral Program in Chemical and Biological Engineering, under a co-tutelle agreement between Universidade do Porto and University of Abdelmalek EssaadiHer PhD thesis entitled "Development of a novel family of 2D photocatalysts for water splitting in solar applications" was supervised by Professors Joaquim L. Faria (LSRE-LCM) and Tarik Chafik (University of Abdelmalek Essaadi), and co-supervised by Doctor Eliana S. Da Silva (LSRE-LCM). Hanane carried out her PhD work at LSRE-LCM between May 2018 and November 2021.
