LSRE-LCM congratulates Isabella Corrêa for her PhD thesis defense on December 9, 2024. Isabella finished the Doctoral Program in Chemical and Biological Engineering, with the PhD thesis entitled ''Innovative strategies for the production of solketal based on the simulated moving bed reactor technology " supervised by Professor Alírio Rodrigues and Doctor Rui Faria (Bondalti)

The staff and team of LSRE-LCM wish Isabella success in the new professional stage that will now begin!

12th D students Isabel Soares Oliveira, Maria Cardoso Toga, Nuno Teixeira Aroso and Vasco Teixeira Cardoso won first prize in the Eureka! competition with their project, titled CLEA. Their project was made in collaboration with the LSRE-LCM researchers Yaidelin Manrique, Isabel Martins and Cláudia Gomes da Silva.

The competition, part of the UBI Science and Innovation Meeting 2024 as part of Science and Technology Week, took place on 23 November 2024 and challenged young minds to think in innovative and sustainable ways.
