Inês Rodrigues, PhD student at LSRE-LCM, received the “Best Poster Presentation” Award at the EA3G2024 conference, held from November 27 to 29, 2024, in Vila Nova de Gaia, Portugal. The event brought together leading researchers and professionals to share advancements in the field of Ozone and Advanced Oxidation: Science, Technologies, and Applications for a Better World.
Inês Rodrigues’ award-winning poster, titled “PDMS Membrane for O₂/O₃ Gas Separation Using a Spiral Wound Module”, was co-authored with LSRE-LCM researchers Vítor J.P. Vilar and Alexandre F.P. Ferreira.

Pedro Velho, a PhD student at LSRE-LCM under the supervision of Professor Eugénia Macedo, has been awarded the 2025 Journal of Chemical & Engineering Data (JCED) Early Career Award. This award recognises his significant research in the fields of thermophysical properties and phase equilibria.
As a recipient, Pedro will receive a plaque and an honorarium of US$2,000. The award will be presented during a webinar organised by ACS Publications and JCED in May 2025.
The JCED Early Career Award is presented annually to a distinguished early career scientist or engineer conducting experimental or computational research in these fields.
