A special issue of Boletín del Grupo Español de Carbón, nº54, is dedicated to the recent research carried out on carbon materials in Portugal.

This special issue contains two contributions by Emeritus Professor José Luís Figueiredo, integrated member of LSRE-LCM, entitled "The Carbon Group of the Portuguese Chemical Society (Grupo do Carbono@SPQ)" and "Carbon materials@LCM: an update"

A new edition of the Science & Technology Week 2019 will be held at Department of Chemical Engineering - FEUP from november 25^th to 29^th.

The R&D units of the Department - LA LSRE-LCM, LEPABE and CEFT, will organize several activities including visits to the laboratories under the motto “Technological advances in emerging areas of Chemical, Environmental and Biotechnology Engineering”.  

This event is addressed to general public and, in particular, to the professors, high school and college students.
