Mariana Marques, project researcher at LSRE-LCM under the supervision of Doctors Margarida Brito (LEPABE), Yaidelin Manrique and Ricardo Santos, won the Oral Communication Award at Smart and Circular Agriculture towards Sustainability congress (SCAS 2022), held in Porto-Portugal from 21st to 22nd July 2022.

The work presented in this congress, entitled "Development of Pickering Emulsion products from natural raw materials", is a result of a collaboration with a research team led by Professor Angeles Blanco from Universidad Complutense de Madrid.

Giovana Colucci, PhD student at LSRE-LCM under the supervision of Professors Filomena Barreiro (CIMO, IPB) and Alírio Rodrigues, has received the award for best poster communication in the Lignin Conference organized by LignoCOST (CA17128) with the work entitled Production of Colloidal Lignin Particles: A Statistical Study.

The event, held on June 1-3, 2022 in Wageningen - The Netherlands, was preceded by a workshop on Lignin Analytics on May 31, 2022 dedicated to PhD students.
