Prof. Bruno Ramos Presents on Nanoparticle Engineering for Catalysis at FEUP

July 29, 2025

On July 23, 2025, Professor Bruno Ramos from Centro Universitário FEI (São Paulo, Brazil) delivered a seminar at FEUP titled "Engineering Interfaces for Improved Catalysis." The event was organized by LSRE-LCM/ALiCE researcher Cátia Graça and was open to the entire FEUP community.

Prof. Ramos began with an overview of FEI and its engineering programs, followed by an introduction to his Research Group in Microfluidic & Photoelectrocatalytic Engineering. His talk focused on modifying nanoparticles to optimize catalytic properties, particularly for photocatalysis and electrocatalysis.

The session covered key concepts in material interface engineering, supported by case studies from his group and international research. The event concluded with an interactive discussion, promoting dialogue and idea exchange with participants.

Rafael Dias PhD thesis defense

July 24, 2025

LSRE-LCM congratulates Rafael Dias for his PhD thesis defense on July 18, 2025. Rafael finished the Doctoral Program in Chemical and Biological Engineering, with the PhD thesis titled Gas-phase Simulated Moving Bed for methane upgrade, supervised by Professors Ana Mafalda Ribeiro, Alexandre Ferreira and Alírio Rodrigues

The staff and team of LSRE-LCM wish Rafael success in the new professional stage that will now begin!
